“Las Cañitas” is the informal name given to a few blocks in the northern part of Palermo neighborhood, limited by Avenida Luis María Campos, boulevard Chenaut, Dorrego and Libertador Avenues. Las Cañitas was a tenement district early in the twentieth century; but it has since become an upmarket area of high-rises, restaurants and bars next to the Campo Argentino de Polo in the northern half of Palermo.
Nowadays, Las Cañitas looks anything like the way it was in 1800. Yesterday, there were only houses with big gardens. Today, there are plenty of modern buildings and lofts.
